• Identity Information: Full legal name, date of birth, current and previous addresses
• Contact Information: Email address, phone number
• Government Identifiers: Social Security Number (SSN) — collected only through our encrypted portal for the sole purpose of querying the credit bureaus. Only the last 4 digits are transmitted in non-secured communications.
• Payment Information: Cardholder name and payment details processed securely through our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Electronic Signature: Your typed legal name as authorization under FCRA
• Usage Data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and analytics purposes

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information solely for the following purposes:

• To process and fulfill background check orders
• To query TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian consumer reporting databases
• To query national criminal and eviction databases
• To verify your identity and prevent fraud
• To deliver completed reports to authorized requesting parties
• To communicate order status, confirmations, and results
• To comply with FCRA requirements, adverse action procedures, and legal obligations
• To maintain legally required audit records

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to the specific screening service you authorized.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We share your information only as necessary to deliver our services and comply with the law:

• Background Check Data Providers: We share necessary information with licensed background check providers (such as Checkr, Inc.) solely to run the authorized screening. These providers are bound by FCRA compliance obligations.
• Credit Bureaus: TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian receive your SSN and identifying information to generate consumer reports.
• Requesting Parties (Owners/Employers): Property owners or employers who ordered your report receive only the completed report — never your raw SSN, full financial records, or payment information.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority.
• We never sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Security

• All data transmitted through our platform uses SSL/TLS encryption
• SSN is entered through an encrypted portal and never transmitted by email, text, or phone
• Full payment card numbers are never stored on our servers
• Access to consumer data is restricted to authorized personnel only
• Data is retained only for the legally required audit period and then permanently deleted

If you are ever asked to provide your SSN by email, text, or phone by someone claiming to represent us — refuse and contact us immediately. We will never request it this way.

5. Data Retention

We retain consumer report information for the minimum period required by applicable law for audit and compliance purposes. After this period, information is securely and permanently destroyed. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the information below, subject to any legal retention requirements.

6. Your Rights Under the FCRA

As a consumer subject to a background check, you have important rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. These include the right to:

• Know what information is in your consumer file
• Request a free copy of your report within 60 days of an adverse action
• Dispute inaccurate or incomplete information
• Require the reporting agency to investigate and correct errors
• Receive an Adverse Action Notice if a report is used against you

7. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for security and basic functionality. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. We may use anonymized analytics (such as page visit counts) to improve our services. No personally identifiable information is collected through cookies.

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.
